The Problem

Custom fabrication has no catalog to price from — ductwork, transitions, exhaust hoods, plenums, and one-off parts are quoted from a drawing every time. That makes estimating slow, inconsistent between jobs, and hard to hand off to anyone but the person who's been doing it for years.

The Approach

• Built a part builder the customer drives themselves: pick a part type, enter dimensions, add it to a build list, and send the whole order at once.
• Modeled ten common parts — return and supply plenums, linear box, drain pan, transition, elbow, caps — plus a 'something else' path so an odd job still gets through.
• Priced from the part's real cost drivers rather than area alone, so estimates stay consistent between jobs instead of living in one person's head.
• Made the builder the site's primary call to action, ahead of the contact form.
• Split the site, builder, and intake into separate services so each can change without touching the others.
